Remain Happy, Continue to Prosper and Move On...

"Beliefs have the power to create and the power to destroy. Human beings have the awesome ability to take any experience of their lives and create a meaning that disempowers them or one that can literally save their lives." - Tony Robbins

One of the greatest powers we have as human beings is to assign our own meaning to the events of our lives. Every one of us has a story we believe about our past, present and the future. That story is either empowering us or disempowering us.

We've all have unexpected things happen in our lives. Loved ones has passed on, lovers have left, stock markets under perform, the government isn't doing everything you want it to be doing, the economy isn't great and things didn't quite turn out the way we thought they "should".

And yet in these exact same circumstances some people remain happy, continue to prosper and move on; while others continue down a spiral of sadness, depression and anxiety, eventually hitting a rock bottom.

What is the difference between these two people? At their core, the only different is the STORY they tell themselves and the MEANING they assign that story. When something unpleasant happens in your life - what do you tell yourself? What question to you ask when everything hits the fan?

Is it an empowering story and question or a disempowering one? If you ask the question "Why does this always happen to ME!?" and then assign some kind of meaning like "Good things just aren't supposed to happen to people like me," you are doing yourself a HUGE disservice.

If instead you asked yourself, "How can I be even MORE open guidance and see the lesson in every situation?" and gave events the meaning of "I am here to learn and grow, everything that happens in my life happens FOR me, not TO me," you are going to see events much differently.

How can you begin telling a different story about your life today? What new and empowering meaning can you give the events of your life? If you only changed this one element of your life - it would change it for the better in immeasurable ways!

We cannot always control what happens TO us, but we can ALWAYS control the meaning of the events and we can either choose to GROW or WITHER in every moment. The wise and wealthy always choose empowered growth over disempowered withering.
You are not a victim. You are the hero of your own life. Give it a new meaning, tell yourself a new story and watch how things start to get better, one day at a time.

Say this ALOUD:
I give the events of my life a new and empowering meaning!
I tell a new story and become whoever I choose!
I am the hero of my life!
