Full of Purposeful Thought and Action

I can live a pressure-free, healthy life with focus, clarity, direction, and purpose.
I use my tools of centering, simplicity, direction and intention to remain healthy and light-hearted.
I am able to freely float through my day with peace of mind and a joyful heart. I feel this serenity because I have fortified myself with healthy habits. I strive to achieve simplicity in my life and thus I can feel pressure-free.
I am centered and grounded because I remain mindful of the truth within each moment of my day.
I am fully aware of where I am going and where I wish to be, which brings me closer toward my goals every day. My day and my life is full of purposeful thought and action. Blending this in my life offers me serenity and peace.
When difficulty or pressure comes into my life, I am able to handle it with speed and ease using the tools and skills I have collected throughout my life. I keep my body healthy with nutritious foods and invigorating exercise, which opens my eyes to a new level of conscious living.
My mind is clear and I am able to be attentive. I have an understanding of my goals and how to achieve them. This makes me strong and able to overcome any uncomfortable situation or pressure that may come my way.
Today I choose to remain confident in my abilities to overcome adversity and live a pressure-free life. I will use the tools I have built in my life to handle anything that may come my way. I have built healthy habits that strengthen and prepare me for my life-long journey.
Questions of Reflection:
1. What tools do I have at my disposal?
2. How have I fortified my body and mind?
3. What makes me centered and focused?

Courage to Live the Life I Deserve

It takes a great deal of courage to live the life I deserve.
Deciding to pursue the life I deserve is a decision I am ready to make. When I close my eyes and envision the life I want for myself, I can clearly see my life purpose. My life purpose is a journey designed for me.
Like any journey, mine begins with a first step. The first step may seem intimidating because it means I have decided to take a path that I have long dreamed of walking; yet it is necessary to take the first step.
Only my feet can take me in the direction I desire. It may feel like a great responsibility, but if I truly want to live a certain way, then it is up to me to make that happen.
I bravely set forth on my journey. My courage is evident in the way I carry myself. My head is held high. My eyes are alert and filled with hope. My steps are placed with courage. By walking with pride, I announce my goals to the world.
The world recognizes my confidence and determination, and because I am worthy of happiness and fulfillment, I am determined to pursue the life I want to live.
Making my dreams real can be both frightening and exhilarating. I acknowledge my fear and embrace my excitement. I am ready to have the life I deserve.
Courage roars inside of me, and today I am taking my first courageous step.

Questions of Reflection:

1. What life do I deserve?
2. How can I take steps toward achieving my life goals?
3. Today, how will I find the courage to take the first step toward my life goals?

Don't give up
It's just the weight of the world
When your heart's heavy
I...I will lift it for you

Don't give up
Because you want to be heard
If silence keeps you
I...I will break it for you

Everybody wants to be understood
Well I can hear you
Everybody wants to be loved
Don't give up
Because you are loved

Don't give up
It's just the hurt that you hide
When you're lost inside
I...I will be there to find you

Don't give up
Because you want to burn bright
If darkness blinds you
I...I will shine to guide you

Everybody wants to be understood
Well I can hear you
Everybody wants to be loved
Don't give up
Because you are loved

You are loved
Don't give up
It's just the weight of the world
Don't give up
Every one needs to be heard
You are loved

Reignite the Passion

I reignite my passions through self-reflection.
I take time each day to reflect. Reflecting helps me identify things that are important to me. The best way for me to reflect is to remove myself from the whirlwind that surrounds me. I look for a quiet place with a comfortable place to sit and I enjoy the beautiful sound of silence.
With my eyes closed, I draw up times when I felt pure joy. Allowing myself to go back to that time gives me inner peace. The pictures in my mind do not consist of possessions because my joy does not come from things I own.
What I see are the faces of my family and friends. I hear the laughter of children and I feel the gentleness of the ocean’s breeze. That’s when my passions erupt like a volcano.
It is essential that everything I do is driven by passion so I can live a fulfilling life. I cannot be led by greed or selfishness. I feel real happiness when I am aware of my passions and I pursue them.
I find myself going through the motions of a meaningless life when I do not reflect. I take on obligations just to have something to do. Even a worthy cause can become a burden if I am doing it for the wrong reasons.
Exercising reflection tones my soul’s muscles. My soul gains unnecessary weight from distractions and stress. When I pause and search my heart, I can distinguish between those distractions and my true calling.
I am excited about what is to come. My vision is focused on fulfilling my calling. I do my best when I am passionate and I am passionate when I pause for reflection.
Questions of Reflection:
1. What are the things that bring me the most joy?
2. Am I taking enough time to relax and reflect?
3. What unnecessary weight am I carrying?

One Awesome Tip to Getting Things Done!

“The resistance to the unpleasant situation is the root of suffering.” Ram Dass

--

How do you get things done?
As you may have noticed there are a lot of tips about that floating around online.
One of my favourite productivity tips that have enabled me to get more done is to adopt a habit of acceptance.

This is a very helpful thing to cultivate. Here are two reasons why:
  • Less suffering. Pain is unavoidable in life. Suffering is however optional. The funny thing about a problem is that the negative feelings you may feel because of it do to a large extent not come from the problem itself. It comes from your resistance to the problem. You can choose to accept things as they are at this moment. When you accept you stop creating suffering within your own mind.
  • Less mental fatigue. You may sometimes be more tired because you get more done. But I have found that I feel less fatigued mentally and in better shape internally when working in an accepting mode. There is much less overthinking and negative emotions when you are in an accepting frame of mind so I guess that makes sense.
As you can see, acceptance is useful beyond just the area of productivity and is something you can incorporate into any part of your life.

Today is a New Day!

No matter how much we've accomplished or how many mistakes we've made, whether we're resting or facing huge life challenges . . . God promises that He will make your life new every day.

When the sun comes up in the morning, His goodness, love and favor are new, creating new opportunities for your life.

God's Word says, "The faithful love of the LORD never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is His faithfulness; His mercies begin afresh each morning" (Lamentations 3:22-23).

Do you wake up expecting God to do great things in your life, or do you wake up worried and anxious about all the problems you're going to face?

In Psalm 5:3 David asks of the Lord: "Listen to my voice in the morning, Lord. Each morning I bring my requests to you and wait expectantly." David was a man after God's own heart. He knew God and saw the Lord do incredible and miraculous things in his life.

What you pursue in the morning sets the tone for your whole day.

Every morning when we wake up, Victoria and I thank God for the privilege of knowing and serving Him. And then we thank Him for bringing wonderful, like-minded, caring people like you into our lives to partner with us in accomplishing His plan.

Victoria and I encourage you to spend time in God's Word, apply it to your life and determine to set the tone for each day by rising with the purpose of God's love shining through you. As you do, you'll enlarge your vision and make room for God to do amazing things in every area of your life!

We love you, and we're praying that you'd experience everything God has for you every day.

Very Thought Provoking....

I listened to Philip talk on a video today...

I LOVE THIS QUOTE:
Philip McClusky says: "Why would I accept anything less than HAPPINESS in my life all the time? Even through the times that may seem tough...because when things come into our lives that feel like pain, sometimes that is just the wrapping. Once we unwrap that present, underneath that is really GROWTH! " : )

My thoughts on this: Sometimes we settle for the "good" or the "good enough" when "THE BEST" is within our grasp. I am pressin' on to THE BEST LIFE!

THE BIG EVENT: Trenton and Renee's Wedding!

This beautiful fountain is at Lakeside Park in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin where my son Trenton and his beautiful bride Renee were married on Friday, August 6, 2010.

Proud to present to you the wedding ceremony and highlights from the reception:

Renee, my daughter in love, had every detail planned out!  Beginning with the Groomsmen meeting the girls at the convertible and having them escorted over the bridge and all the way to the gazebo…It was a neat procession…all the music was unique…

Renee had been very ill for the past week, so much so, that they were considering post-poning the wedding.  Trenton even had a wheelchair ready for her if she needed it!  Renee didn't make the rehearsal, but she made the wedding and was able to walk down the aisle! : )
The Happy Couple is now off to Jamaica for their honeymoon!
